Y3 Anglo-Saxon feast

Y3 are studying Anglo-Saxons.  As a result they will be involved in an Anglo-Saxon feast to explore and taste what food Anglo-Saxons ate.  

Y6 – Safer Future Live Event

The Workplace Heighington Lane, Aycliffe Business Park

There will be representatives from the Fire service, Police, Northern Powergrid, DCC, RNLI and NHS.

Parent/carers can contact us in school on Monday if they have further queries about the events taking place, as sometimes, as I’m sure you can appreciate, it can be hard for us to keep on top of comments on this post (this is still our weekend too and we won’t be replying to comments!! 😊). Events this week: SPORTS CLUBS POSTED on the timetable below. All children who applied to a club, are welcome to come along. No acceptance letter needed for this term. Yesterday, two teachers from St Aidans came in to see Year 6 and give them a taste of the lessons they will have in secondary school.The children were fantastic! They engaged well and were able to answer every question. They participated in an English lesson looking at the autobiography ‘Boy’ first. Then, they had a Science lesson where they had to create a boat that would sail the best using hairdryer-powered wind. They had so much fun and were an absolute credit to Red Hall.
