Y5 Wilderness Schooling

November 10, 2020

Year 5 pupils have been given the amazing opportunity to experience the great outdoors at school and within the local area to experience outdoor learning.


This will take place on Tuesday afternoons.  The aim of the outdoor learning will enhance their Maths, Science, Literacy skills and encourage them to take part in other curriculum activities.



Please ensure your child is appropriately dressed for the cold and possibly wet weather (Non-school uniform) and they are likely to get muddy!


Please ensure that your child has the following;

Waterproof coat / warm coat, hat, gloves, scarves etc.

Appropriate footwear

Change of footwear for when they return into school.

It has been really hard for schools to fund raise in their usual way with schools not being able to hold special fundraising events..but this way we not only raise money for the school and our children..but it’s also made us get outside and move more.We are over half way to our target now with 345 miles completed.
