Our Early Career Teachers (ECTs) receive training and CPD from the Local Authority, as well as Ambition Institute. The Head of School – Laura Snowdon – is the ECT Induction Tutor and Mentor and meets with ECTs on a 2-3 weekly basis, to discuss their progress, reflect on training and progress, as well as coaching ECTs on their next steps.
Mr Cameron Thompson
Year 5 Teacher
In 2021, we interviewed Mr Thompson when he applied to be on the School’s Direct Course. He was successful in his interview and was placed at Red Hall, beginning his training with us in September 2021. Mr Thompson worked with our Year 3 class in his training year, then spent his first year as an ECT with Year 5, where he still works now. He is an asset to our Key Stage 2 team!
He is dedicated to our school and providing the best education for the children in it! He always encourages our children to be the best they can be and he is well liked by both staff and children.
Since September, Mr Thompson has worked with Miss Snowdon leading PE and Sport. He has re-energised this subject and has raised the profile of this, once again at Red Hall.

Miss Samantha Tapaszto
Miss Tapaszto began working with us in Year 1 in September. She was originally given a temporary contract until Easter 2024, to cover Mrs Brown’s maternity leave, but because she is so amazing we have managed to extend her contract!
Miss Tapaszto has one of the most tidy classrooms in the school, which reflects Red Hall’s ethos perfectly. She is hardworking and goes above and beyond for the children in her class. She is incredibly organised and is proving to be a brilliant part of our school’s team.
