Easter Break 2020

3rd April, 2020

Dear Parent/Carers

So today marks the last day of our Spring Term and the start of what should be the Easter Holidays.  It has been 2 weeks since we closed the doors of our school to most of you but that hasn’t meant that we have not kept in regular touch, through social media, emails and phone calls, and this has helped everyone through what has been a very difficult time.

Our teachers will NOT be sending any work home for your children to do over the next two weeks.  We feel it is important for everyone to take a break from learning and working and enjoy some quality time with family and friends, through the many different ways we can connect, thanks to technology today.  We will occasionally post ideas of fun activities on the website or Facebook for you to do and to keep you all busy, and our teachers will be in touch with all children at least once.  New arrangements for work after Easter will be sent out towards the end of the 2 week break.

School itself continues to be open over the next two weeks to support the key workers critical to fighting Covid-19.  We will have a staff rota in place so that our staff also get a break over the next two weeks from work and keep themselves safe.

We have been providing our FSM children with meals through a packed lunch daily during term time.  Schools would not normally provide your children with a meal over the Easter Holidays however we will be providing all our FSM families who have been using our packed lunch scheme with a weekly bag of ‘basics’ to keep you going.  School staff will contact you to collect these on either the Monday or Tuesday of each week.

If you have any questions or concerns about ANYTHING at all, we have staff on hand every day of the week so PLEASE get in touch.

Have a lovely Easter Break, let’s hope the sun is shining so you can take yourselves out for family walks as part of your daily exercise, or play in the garden together.
